Description
"Oh the webs you weave
We are caught in the fame
The passion's dead
The life you've lead
Has drowned in your shame"
Done using a white gel pen and some white charcoal/chalk pastel.
Around Halloween, my mom had the idea to trace the outline of a spiderweb from a template she had, and then fill in the openings with Zentangles.
Having done many Zentangles as black ink on white paper, it was so cool to see how it looked as white ink on black paper. Using a gel pen presented many more issues, such as how long it took to dry and how easily it smudged.
But it was a lot of fun to do, and I love how it looks.
If some of the background looks weird, it's because this doesn't fit on the scanner I use, so I tried scanning it in as two halves and then combined them. The drawing part I was able to line up, but it left some holes in the background that I filed on the computer.
I hope you enjoy
