We All Need Some Light

"Yes we all need some light now
Turn on your light
And wash the darkness away"

This was a little bit of a multi-medium experiment, using ink, pencils, watercolors, chalk pastels, and charcoal.

I have a string of Christmas lights going around my room, and every night I love looking at the color they throw. One day, I decided it would be fun to channel that.

This was done a little bit before Christmas, so it was pretty good seasonal timing.

The background looks like it does because I wanted something with a little more pattern/texture than just a straight color.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with this
