In a mere couple of days, I start my first year of college!
For the past week or so, my mood's been yoyo-ing dramatically between

Ultimately, I do know that once I've moved in and started classes and lapsed into a routine, that normality will dispel the majority of any fears I'll enter with. And honestly, I am very excited to begin this new chapter of my life. I know it won't always be a perfectly great time, but I have faith that everything will work out one way or another!
Plus, I'll be studying art, which'll be über awesome!
And, not only will I be close to home (about 1.5 hours away), my roommate is to be the wonderful sunshine81795, so that'll all be quite splendid indeed!
Boston Strong
So for an [early] graduation present, sunshine81795 (https://www.deviantart.com/sunshine81795) took me to the Bruins game last night against the Sabres.
It was very surreal, to say the least.
At the beginning, there was a moment of silence to honor those affected by Monday's tragedy, and then they showed a tribute video overlaid with the song "Home" by Phillip Phillips of how courageously the city responded. About halfway there, when we were lamenting waiting in the car, she asked if I knew what would make it worth it, and pulled out a ticket for the show, informing me that the bowling was a lie and we were gonna go see Shinedown after all!
The show itself was amazing. The opener, Beyond the Fall w
LA-NJ Stanley Cup Final
Sure, why not?
Honestly though, as much as I wanted the Devils to win, I was still sad to see the Rangers lose like that. To come so close to playing for the Stanley Cup and then to lose that chance after one bad scramble, you could see it on their faces that they were very upset. And rightfully so.
However, as tough as that all was to watch, the pure excitement from the Devils served to make up for that.
I especially appreciated how captain Zach Parise did kind of like what Zdeno Chara did last year with the Boston Bruins, in that he called the entire team over for a picture with the Prince of Wales Trophy, rather than going it solo and t
